| Day 105 (December 30, 2001) After the thirteen hour
experience with Chloe and the NICU, Cheryl and I had to do a lot of little
things like shopping and the looking for a swing for Chloe. Chloe was
doing great. She was back to her old self -- alert, exploring and full
of personality. |
||
| Day 106 (December 31, 2001) Chloe was still alert and
doing great, although she was in the regular NICU room and not in the step
down room. The nurses tell us that if everything goes well, Chloe will
be coming home on January 2. |
||
| Day 107 (January 1, 2002) Cheryl and I found a swing
set that I was willing to pay for. We also bought some wood so that I
could finish Chloe's changing table face frame. Cheryl and I went to see a movie because we will not be able to see one for quite a long time. Movies are so expensive these days, that I doubt that we will see one again. Chloe is doing very well and we are excited to see her and we will be
more excited taking her home. |

| Day 108 (January 2, 2002) Chloe comes home and her
parents are very happy. Although things went wrong, like we did not
receive Chloe's oxygen supply at home nor did we receive her Oxygen sensor
equipment.
Chloe took her first car ride and she did not even raise a peep. When she arrived at home she was in a noised reduced environment and this is where the fun began. We had to fill syringes (no neeedls, just use them to put the medicine in her formula) with medicines and make formula bottles. I feel that our lives have now been forever changed, now that we are true parents. |
